Bronze Plates & Sheets
Aluminum Bronze Plate — C63000
A high-strength wrought aluminum bronze (with nickel and iron) for heavy-duty bushings, wear parts, valve components and marine hardware.
Product overview
C63000 plate is considered where wrought aluminum bronze is needed for wear plates, tooling and marine components. Thickness range, condition and certification are confirmed per inquiry.
C63000 is a wrought aluminum bronze strengthened by nickel and iron. It is supplied as rod, bar, plate and forgings and heat-treatable to higher strength conditions. It has high strength, good wear and galling resistance, and good corrosion resistance, including in many sea-water services.
Strictly it is a nickel-aluminum bronze; it is listed under Aluminum Bronze on this site to keep the wrought grade next to the cast aluminum bronzes C95400 and C95500. Compared with the cast alloy C95800, C63000 is a wrought material – which matters for bar and plate availability and for the properties obtainable.

Where it is used
- Heavy-duty bushings and bearings
- Valve seats, stems and guides
- Pump shafts and wear rings
- Marine and offshore hardware
- Aircraft-type and tooling components (as specified)
Machining and fabrication
Machinable with rigid setups and suitable carbide or coated tooling; slower than free-cutting bronzes and tool wear is higher. Welding and heat treatment require qualified procedures.

Frequently asked questions
Why is C63000 shown under Aluminum Bronze?
To keep the wrought aluminum bronze next to the cast aluminum bronzes. Technically it also contains nickel and is sometimes called a nickel-aluminum bronze.
Is C63000 the same as C95800?
No. C63000 is wrought; C95800 is a cast composition. Their compositions and available product forms differ.
