Bronze material family
Additional Cast Bronze Grades
Leaded cast alloys widely used for pipe fittings and valves.
Overview
These are the leaded copper-tin-zinc casting alloys most widely used in bronze pipe fittings and valves: C83600 (85-5-5-5) and C84400 (81-3-7-9). Strictly they are leaded red and semi-red brasses, but they are sold under the “bronze” name in the fittings and valve trade.
Both contain lead and are not intended for lead-restricted services.
