Bronze material family
Manganese Bronze
Very high-strength cast alloy for slow-speed, heavily loaded parts.
Overview
Manganese bronze, represented here by C86300, is a high-tensile copper-zinc casting alloy strengthened with aluminum, manganese and iron. It is chosen when load capacity and hardness are the priority and the environment is not severely corrosive.
Commercially called bronze, it is technically a high-strength brass and has less corrosion resistance than aluminum bronzes in some environments.
