Bronze fittings
Threaded Bronze Fittings
Male and female threaded bronze fittings for pipe and instrumentation connections.
Overview
Threaded fittings make a mechanical, demountable connection using male (external) and female (internal) threads, often with a sealant or tape on tapered threads. They are common in water, steam, heating, air and general fluid systems.
Thread form, size and tolerance class vary by region and application. This site does not assume a particular thread standard – the required thread must be confirmed with each inquiry.

Male and female configurations
Fittings may be male-male, female-female or mixed (male x female), and may change size (reducers and bushings). The designation must be clear on the inquiry.

Elbows, tees, couplings, reducers, plugs and unions
Common threaded fitting types include elbows (45° / 90°), tees, crosses, couplings, reducers and bushings, plugs, caps and unions. Not every type is available in every grade or size.
Thread form and size confirmation
Tapered and parallel threads are both used and are not interchangeable in all cases. Provide the thread standard (for example NPT, BSP or others), nominal size and, if possible, a drawing.
Sealing and installation considerations
Sealing methods depend on the thread type and system – tapered threads seal on the thread with a sealant, parallel threads may need gaskets or O-rings. Over-tightening can damage bronze fittings and mating parts; follow the system designer’s installation guidance.
Operating conditions and compatibility
Fluid, temperature, pressure and the mating pipe material (for galvanic compatibility) must be reviewed. Lead-restricted services should consider lead-free alternatives.

Frequently asked questions
Which thread standards do you supply?
No standard is assumed on this site. State the thread form on your inquiry and the company will confirm.
Can threaded fittings be used with steam?
Only with a suitable grade (such as C92200), design and rating. Confirm with the company and the system designer.
Are threaded fittings available in aluminum bronze?
Aluminum bronze fittings are listed (C95400, C95500, C95800); configurations are confirmed per inquiry.
