Bronze Flanges
C92200 Valve Bronze Flanges
A leaded tin-zinc bronze developed for steam and valve castings that need pressure tightness and reliable service in hot water and steam.
Product overview
C92200 valve-bronze flanges are used on steam and valve-related piping. Flange standard, class and facing must be confirmed against the drawing or specification.
C92200 – often called steam bronze, valve bronze or Navy “M” bronze – has been a standard material for pressure-retaining castings in steam, hot water and general fluid service. A tin-bronze base with controlled lead and zinc additions gives sound, pressure-tight castings with good machinability.
It is a widely used valve and fitting material, particularly for steam and water duty. Because it contains lead, it is not intended for potable-water contact where lead content is restricted.

Frequently asked questions
Is C92200 the same as C83600?
No. C92200 is a higher-tin steam / valve bronze (about 6% tin); C83600 is the 85-5-5-5 pipe-fitting alloy with more lead and zinc.
What pressure can a C92200 fitting hold?
Rating depends on the fitting design, size, temperature and governing standard. No rating is stated on this website; confirm with the company.
