Bronze Fittings

C95500 Aluminum Bronze Fittings

A higher-strength cast aluminum bronze with added nickel, used for heavily loaded gears, bearings and corrosion-resistant components.

Product overview

C95500 fittings are a material option for higher-pressure or higher-strength requirements. Fitting types and sizes offered are confirmed per inquiry.

C95500 adds about 3–5.5% nickel to the iron-bearing aluminum bronze base. The nickel improves strength and toughness, particularly after heat treatment, and widens corrosion resistance in comparison with C95400.

It is typically specified when C95400 does not quite provide the strength or hardness needed – for example in heavily loaded gears and bushings, pump parts and valve components for corrosive service.

Where it is used

  • Heavily loaded gears and worm wheels
  • Bushings and bearings
  • Pump impellers and wear parts (design dependent)
  • Valve components
  • Flanges and fittings for demanding service

Machining and fabrication

Machinable with rigid tooling; expect higher tool wear than for leaded bronzes. Heat treatment and weld repair must follow qualified procedures.

Forms and sizes

  • Elbows (45° and 90°)
  • Tees and crosses
  • Couplings and reducers
  • Unions, plugs and caps
  • Custom fittings to drawing

Only fitting types technically appropriate to the material, application and manufacturing method are offered. Sizes, thread forms and ratings are confirmed with the company. Do not rely on this page for dimensions, tolerances or stock.

What to include in your inquiry

  • UNS grade and governing specification
  • Dimensions (or drawing) and tolerance class
  • Quantity and delivery timing
  • Application and operating environment
  • Certificate / inspection requirements
